Multiplying Disciples
Open Their Eyes is a new missions organization dedicated to promoting church planting movements (CPMs) among unreached people groups (UPGs) and everyone, everywhere. (Acts 21:28)
Our name comes from Acts 26:16-18 when Jesus said to Paul: “I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness… I am sending you to [the Gentiles] to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light.”
We will only send funds to proven, indigenous CPM catalysts. We will prioritize unreached people groups who have yet to hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
What Is a CPM?
CPM stands for "Church Planting Movement." According to scholar David Garrison, a CPM is the rapid multiplication of indigenous churches planting churches that sweeps through a people group or population segment.
We have found that the gospel spreads the most rapidly through house churches comprised of disciples making disciples who learn to obey Jesus no matter what. CPM's actually tend to grow the best in places where persecution against Christians is the harshest.
An established CPM has reached the point of multiple streams of fourth generation house churches that are the great, great granddaughters of the original house church in a UPG.
Ministry Training School
Interested disciples from around the world are welcome to apply to Open Their Eyes' ministry training school, which is based in the United States. The training school could include mission trips elsewhere in the world, however.
There is no tuition or fee for this discipleship training, but disciples are normally admitted on an invitation-only basis.
